House was built in the early 1930’s. The upstairs attic was converted to bedrooms and as a result, moisture problems began occurring in the attic.
The homeowner was looking for a new roof & solution to keep moisture levels from ruining the new roof due to high humidity levels. The structure didn’t permit normal ventilation so closed cell spray foam insulation was used to create a conditioned space in the attic.
We installed a brand new roof, replaced some of the very damaged joists, and applied spray foam insulation on the roof interior to solve the humidity issue and increase the R-value of the home.
“We had great communication going on constantly with the team, who never hesitated showing us the work progress or answering any of our questions. The guys were super friendly and nice, and most of them have been with Tom from the very beginning.”

The new roof plywood was covered over with ½” High density insulation board to keep the roof deck from getting so cold.
This is another method that will help control interior attic condensation from occurring in the winter months
